Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect what's needed to run Expenso, we don't sell your data, and you can delete everything from your profile.
Introduction
Expenso is built by RubaNix. We're committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what we collect. By using Expenso, you agree to this policy.
What we collect
You give us: email, name, the expenses and groups you create, settlement records, and anything you choose to add to your profile.
Collected automatically: device type, OS version, app version, and basic usage data so we can fix bugs and improve the app.
How we use it
- Run the core app — track and split expenses across your groups.
- Calculate balances and suggest settlements.
- Send notifications about your account and groups.
- Respond to your support requests.
- Detect and fix bugs and security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
How we protect it
- All transmission encrypted via SSL/TLS.
- Passwords hashed with industry-standard algorithms.
- Access restricted to authorized personnel.
- We review our practices regularly.
How long we keep it
- Account info: until you delete your account.
- Expense data: as long as the group exists, or until you delete it.
- Some data may be retained longer for legal or backup reasons.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from You → Account.
If you're in the EEA, UK, or California, you have additional rights to object to processing, restrict it, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with a regulator.

Children's privacy
